The sky has always fascinated man since as far back in history as is recorded. As a child , I used to gaze up at the stars and wonder how on earth they could possibly have any influence on the lives of the millions of people on this planet. I came to the conclusion that they couldn’t possibly, and that astrology and astronomy was not for me. Like Father Christmas and fairies, I decided it was all make-believe, and I grew up (so I thought!)
Then my opinion changed suddenly, when I watched an extraordinary television programme. The producers obviously set out to discredit astrologers, and were amazed with the results they discovered.
Basically, they picked 500 people from the age of 18 to 86, from different parts of the world, all with different birthdays and different star signs. Some were well-known names, others were just ordinary members of the public.
It appeared that whatever their age, sex or birthday, people who had certain planets in ascent, more often shared a similar talent. Regardless of their birth date, they found that people born with similar star and planet formations were often found to exceed in sport. Others were found to be very artistic, while another group was found to be very creative. The list went on, it was quite eye-opening, and to illustrate their findings, they talked to well-known people of all ages, and compared their findings with other people, from other countries. In other words, an 82-year old man, from Scotland, would be compared to a 22-year old woman in Australia. The similarities were amazing, even though the man may have been born under Aries star sign, and the woman would be, perhaps an Aquarian.
They had no explanation of their findings, other then the Fact that “there must be something in it”. They concluded that they only way we could find out about our own undiscovered talents, would be to have a complete, comprehensive personal birth chart drawn up by a reputable astrologer.
I went one better, and ended up having three drawn up (perhaps I was still a little sceptical!). It was long before I discovered the internet, so I simply replied to magazine advertisements. Even so, the results were quite astounding. Although explained in different ways, each reading told me my strengths and weaknesses. All intimated my creative and artistic personality, which I knew I had, and also mentioned that I was “leader” material, rather then “follower”. True, I had been running my own business for quite a while, supervising a large complement of staff. When I joined a club, I would always end up becoming chair-person, and running the club. I discovered I had a talent for organising, thus becoming a leader. It appeared I had a slight weakness with my chest, and every time I get a cold, it usually ends up on my chest. However, forewarned is to be forearmed, and I always take the necessary precautions when a start a sniffle.
That television programme really changed my view of the heavens, and for anyone slightly interested in astrology and astronomy, I would strongly recommend they have a birth chart drawn up. Even if you are a non-believer, you will be truly amazed at the results. Luckily, today, we have to look no further then the internet. Who knows, the answer to your questions, could be in the heavens after all.
